New Interim Director of Planned Giving for Africa University

Josefa Bethea Wall is joining the Africa University Development Office team as the interim director of planned giving, effective January 2, 2020.“

Mrs. Bethea Wall is a major donor to Africa University (AU), she has an impeccable network within and beyond The United Methodist Church and is one of the university’s primary celebration partners in the United States,” said James H. Salley, the associate vice chancellor for institutional advancement and head of the AU Development Office. 

“She has the passion, experience and credentials in non-profit management , and will need only minimal training to serve in this role,” said Salley.

As a longstanding member of the Africa University Advisory Development Committee, Mrs. Bethea Wall has volunteered her skills, insight and deep connections within The United Methodist Church on the current “Seeding Hope. Shaping Opportunity. - $50M Campaign for Africa University”.

In approving the appointment, Vice Chancellor/CEO of Africa University, Dr. Munashe Furusa highlighted his appreciation for Mrs. Bethea Wall's experience in grants preparation and management.

“We are simply delighted to welcome such a talented and dedicated friend of Africa University to our advancement team,” said Furusa. “She has a proven track record of friend-making and fundraising success and is a great fit for Africa University.
