Membership
Join the Movement
The membership of Black Methodists for Church Renewal, Inc., shall be composed of those people who subscribe to the purpose of Black Methodists for Church Renewal, Inc., and who comply with the provisions of the membership regulations as prescribed from time to time by the Board of Directors. Membership includes not only African Americans but Black United Methodists from the Caribbean, South and North America and Africa as well as individuals from other ethnic groups.
ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP LEVELS
General
General membership is an annual membership that shows your support and participation in the mission, vision, and purpose of BMCR. This membership level includes both voice and vote.
Student
In seminary or college? You can become a member of BMCR at a reduced rate and join the advocacy work of our caucus. This membership level includes both voice and vote.
Youth
Young black united methodists have the opportunity to voice their concerns within the UMC and in our communities through this membership. This membership level includes voice with no vote.
Associate
Non-Black individuals can join in our efforts to make the UMC the best representation of Christ's love. This membership level includes voice with no vote.
LIFE MEMBERSHIP LEVELS
CENTURY
The century membership level allows you to become a member of BMCR for life and assist in the continued work of BMCR. This membership level includes voice and vote.
LIFE
Join the movement of advocacy and social justice within the UMC for life. Life membership includes both voice and vote.
HARRY HOSIER
This membership level honors the late Dr. Harry Hosier's legacy through an endowment on behalf of BMCR. This membership level includes both voice and vote.
BMCR PARTNERS
Organizations have the opportunity to partner with BMCR to build mutually beneficial relationships and further our message.
