Pioneer Black Clergywomen Book

Rev. Dr. Josephine Whitely-Fields, an ordained elder of the United Methodist Church, retired in 2015 after 40 years in ministry. She pastored churches in Ohio, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. She ministered as the director of Missions and Outreach in the W.PA Conference, was founder and CEO of four 501 (c ) (3) non-profit corporations in Western Pennsylvania, served as associate dean of Doctoral studies and adjunct faculty at United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. She earned a Ph.D. in formative spirituality, M.Div., MA in religion, MA in formative spirituality, and an equivalent DMD.

She is a widow of Rev. Frederick Lee Fields with 2 adult sons and 2 adult daughters, 10 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
